Our website was developed by experienced designers who looked at problems with other directories and made sure not to repeat those issues. We saw sites cluttered with Google ads in every direction, hard to locate information, non-intuitive navigation and a seemingly inconsequential directory listings.
We’ve changed that. Our navigation is location static and easy to find. Our ads are local only and relatively low profile. Our listings are by major location (NW, SW, ect) and then by alphabetical. Ads are tagged with a location icon so you can quickly determine if the business is in your area. Colour coding indicates if they serve general public or other businesses only.
Bright colours used throughout the design draw your eye to important areas, easy to read sans serif text doesn’t strain the eyes. Beautiful images by local photographers are there to provide some visual excitement.
Non Ad Supported
Our site is not cluttered by distracting, surrounding Google ads, because the site is paid for by the member companies.
Our categories are logical and not broken up by ads, nor can an individual company pay to “bump” themselves up to gain an unfair advantage over another. The ads we do carry are from local business, none flash, not in the way and not overwhelming.
Our core information is the list of businesses you are interested, and it’s important to us that you can find that information without have to dodge ads!
